Let's recap a little bit! I'm doing my best to get one of these at least each week. Monday seems like a good day to do it:) I am so thankful for this beautiful morning too! I was happy I got up early enough to spend some time outside writing and praying...good stuff.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Justin Paterson!! Autumn (the bride) looked stunning as usual!! Justin-you cleaned up well:) And to all the beautiful wedding party and families-you guys were amazing! The ceremony went perfectly and it was alot of fun. I'm so excited to see how God uses this couple even more than He already does. Many blessings to you two and I love you both!
Alright friends one quick book reccommendation and then time to get serious:) I am about a chapter away from finishing When God Writes Your Love Story by Eric and Leslie Ludy. I can't even describe how great that book is! It really takes a look at relationships in a way that most people would not even think of doing today. It's not a book on courting or anything, it's book on letting God write the second most beautiful we can experience here on earth; a God-written love story...what could be better? It's pretty radical and just a really sweet read. So I encourage you if your tired of searching for romantic love by wordly standards, flip open this book and get to know love God's way, You won't regret it!
God is good my friends. There's so much I could say about my Savior and what He is doing so I'll try to condense...which is really hard for me to do but I'll try:) Previously I have written about the burdens God has placed in my life and how I was responding to them. I'm happy to say I'm in such a peaceful place with His will. Just being able to further God's kingdom with His love and the gifts He has given me is such an honor. Can you imagine the joy in our Father's heart when we joyfully and peacefully accept His plans for us? Can you imagine how happy it makes Him to know we trust Him fully with our fragile and crazy lives? Just thinking about making my Father happy makes me happy! I'm sitting here listening to "Til I See You" by Hillsong, and how perfectly it describes the anthem I sing to God now about His will for my life. Being brought to this place has been so incredible, and with tears in my eyes I thank God with all that's in me for giving me this life and beautiful intmacy with Him.
I want you guys to know that no matter what is going in your lives at this moment God is working. He is shaping, molding, breaking and building a likeness if Himself in us. We have to be willing though. You cannot be radically different and fully submitted to the Lord and try to hide your desires and sins in your pockets where you think no one can see. God has made it clear we cannot serve Him and our own wants too. The beautiful thing about this though is that once we are fully submitted and changed, His wants are our wants! We want what God wants for our lives. I promise you that it is so much better than what our fleshy selves could imagine. Are yo u struggling with this? Talk to God about it. Talk to a good friend or pastor or family member. God gives wisdom in the most unexpected ways, you just have to remember to ask;)
Matthew 7:7
I believe that is all for now. Just wanted to catch you guys up with some pretty awesome things worthy of continual praise to Jesus. Let's get out there and make some changes in this place peeps! I love you guys!
I love this:
I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!-Philippians 3:7-11 (NLT)
