A New Year, A New Journey!

2011. A new year has finally rolled around. Let's just say I was eager to see 2010 pass. A year of the best and hardest lessons and trials came to a close with a very sweet surprise. :)



Yes, I am now engaged to the greatest man on earth!!!!! On December 27th, right before we left for Africa (which by the way, will have about a million blog posts coming, it's taking awhile to process those past two weeks...) and with all of our family there, he proposed! I was in total shock. I obviously knew it was coming at some point, but had no idea it was going to be that day or even in 2010! It was by far, one of the greatest days of my life, and a really sweet thing before we headed out to the place that brought us together. God truly, truly, truly blesses those who wait on Him. We are so excited about so many new chapters in our lives starting and are counting down the days (already!) to The Taylor Wedding. ;)

42 million reasons to go. [Africa]

SO here it is...an update! We are officially 14 weeks out from being at the OKC airport, ready to head to Africa! :) It's so exciting to have things underway and a huge thank you to those who have we recevived support and prayer from so far. You guys are great. :) We have been contacted by our awesome team leader, Tymm Hoffman, and I am in the process of scheduling my first round of shots for next month...(shudder). Those of us in the OKC are pumped for the next 98 days!

One of our teammates, Becky, came up with an AWESOME t-shirt design for our trip. Africa has 42 million orphans...that number is mind boggling to me. Our mission to Africa is to drown these kids in as much love as they can possibly get. The world has a responsibility for its' orphans and we want know that. We want to show them crazy love...and you can too.




The t-shirts are $20 dollars. They will provide a way for me to get to them but also, they will be a tool to speak out for the orphaned into your lives and in those who come in contact with you.
