Peace...and my love/ hate relationship with caffeine.

I forgot how much I LOVE music by Matt Wertz. "Everythings Right" is playing on repeat...such a good song. I have a tendency to lean towards that smooth, folksy, jazzy coffee shop sound of music. Matt Wertz definitely falls into my list of faves among Brooke Fraser, Bethany Dillon, Jimmy Needham, Dave Barnes, A Fine Frenzy and others. Can I just give a shout out to these amazingly talented peeps? Thank you for easing my insanity with your tunes guys...'ppreciate it:)

I have recently discovered I have a very bad relationship with caffeine...Dr. Pepper being my main adversary. How can something so delicious be so cruel? I am kind of a health freak..I'll just be honest. So I'm positive Dr. Pepper has no nutritional value at all and I still fall victim to it's sweet bubbly goodness. You may be thinking...why so bitter over one of the best drinks in the world? I mean after all they are only like 91 cents at Sonic during Happy Hour! What could be better?! Have you ever noticed that Sonic will not serve Route 44 juices? Yes I know this from experience. I asked for a Route44 Cranberry juice once and was declined...hm. Not too big of a deal, until I order a large and it came in a medium sized cup! Who knew juices had totally different sizes? My point is...the worse it is the cheaper it is...at least that's how they roll at Sonic anyway. And I'll still drink a Dr. pepper after writing this...I know, you can all pray for me;)

Anyway:) Now onto some fairly serious stuff...

Our recitals went fabulously today! I have never felt so proud. It really was amazing to see something we spent HOURS over, teaching and creating, finally come to life! I of course had to completely forget the camera but it was still just a precious sight all around. I am currently working on our hip-hop class for next week. Hope the girls are ready to "get movin' " with Group One Crew!

A little girl went up to my sister yesterday after asking me what the "thing" was that I was holding. (The "thing" was a sweet, little baby that the inquiring four year old was completely bewildered over.) So she mosies on over to my sister and says quite simply, "Teacher, sometimes babies poop." Wow...I am in awe of the profound thoughts of four year olds. Needless to say I could not help but laugh at her innocence. Have you ever realized what you can learn by simply listening to a child? I will never forget the story I heard of a woman traveling through a bustling busy city with her three year old son. The young boy loved people and immediately once they got to the center of a park he stopped, looked around, smiled with the biggest smile possible and yelled "Friends!" as loud as possible as he ran to strangers all over the place to hug them. Now the "mom" characteristic all of us females carry immediately screams "stranger danger," but take a look past that for a second. That little boy gets it. He understands exactly what selfless and unprejudiced love means and he's three! Sadly, that's a lesson that takes so long for us to learn as young adults. Why is that? Aren't we called to love unconditionally and call everyone "friend?" I love that story because it reminds me that all the precious people on this Earth are made beautifully by our Maker. And these "friends" may just be waiting for someone to run up, call them friend and embrace them as Christ would for us. Let's be real "friends."

That's all for my completely irrelevant blog:) Enjoy!
