Fall is hands down my favorite season. I love the cool air and bright leaves. The way the sun sets with the faint smell of burning wood. Football games, holidays...etc. It is my favorite season by far!
I'm one of those people that is always looking for a new good book, music, craft..you name it! So I've compiled a list of my "favorite" things and a list of books I plan to read before the year ends. These are GREAT reads, so I figured I'd share!
A Million Miles in a Thousand Years-Donald Miller (currently reading)
Through Painted Deserts-Donald Miller
Mockingjay-Suzanne Collins
Radical-David Platt
The Book Thief-Marcus Zusak
That's about all I'll have time for. =]
Some favorites: Blogs, books, really cool people, art and music.
I love reading blogs about inspiring or interesting things. Here are a few I check out almost daily: http://donmilleris.com/, http://blog.invisiblechildren.com/, http://natalielloyd.blogspot.com/, http://walking4them.blogspot.com/2010/09/journey-begins.html?spref=fb, http://isaiah49.blogspot.com/, http://blog.mochaclub.org/.
I love art and anything that sparks creativity. A few things I LOVE:
Vintage and antique stores. I'm becoming obsessed! I have a trip to Africa to pay for so I try not to buy anything. ;)
Art from Intuition-a really cool book on how to use creativity for anything.
Journals. I have about 3 that are half filled currently and all for different purposes. Borders has some of the coolest journals around. I like to mae my own a lot though. There are blank journals in nearly every art or book store. Check em out.
I have an addiction to Hobby Lobby's whole back section of the store. I'm not ashamed.
Recycled paper jewelry from Africa. I'm in love with a picture frame my sweet guy got me from Egypt made out of recycled paper. Also, a hand beaded purse from China. I never us it because it's sooo pretty! Saving it for a special night out. He knows me too well. ;)
Music: Currently obsessed with the Script. Looking forward to Brooke Fraser's new album as well.
Books: Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller is a MUST READ. The HUnger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins are two books I could read over and over again. And a favorite I refer to a lot lately, Love and Respect. You need to read it.
My list will grow in six months. Enjoy! :)
