Happy first day of November!! (Actually, I believe it's still the 31st? Daylight Savings time always baffles me...) Anyway, I have much to tell you fellow blog-readers but I'll try to condense because I'm tired and a bit loopy from sleeping for only four hours last night :) I will stop the madness one day...
The micromission was today. I was so excited to FINALLY go on a mission for Lifechurch. I can't believe I haven't been on more before now...where have I been??? (Thanks Jesus, for knocking me around a bit on what it means to be a real servant...you know I needed it.) I was just in amazement pretty much the whole time. The people were so...amazing. They were so gentle and welcoming to us "outsiders" in the tiny city of Valley Brook. I loved it. I cannot wait for the Thanksgiving Dinner in a few weeks. I have a feeling there will be alot of food, fun and tears haha (for those who cry uncontrollably at the slightest mention of trials and struggles...) It is my prayer not only will teh people be changed but that we will be changed as well. Coming together as one in the presence of a great God. :) 'Tis the season!
As the holidays close in on us, I want everyone to stop an take a look around. Beautiful red leaves are sprinkling the pavement and semi-green lawns. The air is fresh and sometimes filled with the scent of sweet, burning firewood. Children are playing outside, families are walking their beautiful German Shepards...or in my case our overly hyper Yorkie and grouchy but loyal Schnauzer. God is sculpting beauty all around us with His creations...and He urges us to take time to notice it! Imagine Him as a painter, sitting at His easle, trying to capture the sunlight beaming through the red and yellow autumn leaves...just to catch our eye. Mmmmm that is so good. So take a little walk, enjoy the beauty around you and praise God in the highest for it.
Friends, I'm learning the significance of God's timing...how sweet it is to know His plans will make everything richer and more deeply knitted with Him. I feel extremely blessed in this season:)
Question of the week: what are you most thankful for and why?
I want to hear alot of replies!:)
